Got questions? This is the place to start!
We are currently only offering counseling to women. Our primary demographic is younger women (teens, college, young professionals), but we are avaiable to women of any age.
This one hour session will be a means to get to know you and the problem that brings you in for counseling.
Your counselor will tell you a bit about herself and answer any questions you may have.
Most of the session will be dedicated to getting to know you. Come prepared to do more talking than usual! The counselor will primarily listen to you and ask questions, but will not be quick to offer solutions. This is because, "If one gives an answer before he hears, it is his folly and shame" (Proverbs 18:13).
We will get a feel for where you're at and identify your counseling goals.
Practical steps, tools, and solutions will, God-willing, come in follow-up sessions, after we learn about all the uniqueness of your personality, history, and situation.
This is a great question as our counseling might be different from what you've experienced before!
In follow-up sessions, our work may range from reflective activities (unpacking your past and making observations about your present experiences, habits, etc.) to instructive/educational work, to simple encouragements and more. Every step of the way, we will be orienting back to the gospel and seeking God's help.
An important expectation to highlight is that we will give you an assignment to work on between sessions. These are vitally important. These serve the purpose of putting into practice what you are learning in counseling as well as preparing you for the next session. Without completion of these activities, it will be very difficult to make progress. These assignments might be reflection activities, applying a new skill, starting a new habit, etc. The activity will be tailored to your needs, abilities, capacity, and unique personality! Don't worry; we'll discuss together what assignments suit you so that they are not a burden but an aid!

No, we are not state licensed. We do not identify as clinical mental health counselors, licensed professional counselors, or psychotherapists.
Rather, we are trained and certified in biblical counseling. The advantage of our choice to forgo state licensure is that we retain the freedom to administer spiritual care by using biblical theories & methodologies.
No, since we are not state licensed, insurance will not work with us. Because of this, our prices are adjusted to accommodate payment out-of-pocket.
If the price of our sessions poses a problem for you, check out our Financial Aid page. We do not want finances to stand in your way!
The heart of biblical counseling is that our theories and methodologies are founded on the gospel and aimed at relationship with Jesus Christ.
Our counseling beliefs and practices
are fundamentally derived from Scripture, which we believe is the most reliable, comprehensive, and profound basis for understanding people and handling the difficulties of life.

Welcome! We're glad you're here! You're absolutely free and welcome to schedule a session with us. You will be received warmly and given the utmost of care and respect.
We want to be transparent about the perspective we counsel from:
We can discuss together whether spiritual care is something that you are open to exploring or not. If not, we still wholeheartedly want to get to know you and offer as much help as we can to you!
If you have more questions or concerns, feel free to send us a question or bring your questions to a free consultation.
We typically only offer individual counseling. This means that generally, if marital counseling is needed, we provide services for the wife. However, in some cases, we may be able to provide marriage counseling to both the husband and the wife.
If you are a church looking for marital or premarital counseling, we can discuss how we can coordinate this in your church. Please contact us about the options we have available for this.
We'd love to hear it! Whether your question is big or small, please send it our way!
